Halfback Mercury Morris, who played for the Dolphins from 1969 to 1975 and was part of arguably the greatest or at least one of the top five backfields of all time which included Hall of Fame Fullback Larry Csonka and Halftback Jim Kiick,  passed away in September.  Having been a Dolphins fan since around 1970, I clearly remember how talented he was on the field and his ability to avoid potential tacklers with lateral moves and then hitting full speed again, was remarkable.  Here is a good article on his career and a bit about his personal life following football.
