Radio Station Update

The Genesis Communications Network is now airing on WNKC AM 1620 in the Lincoln Court neighborhood of Covington, KY.  It took some time, but the technical issues that existed with interfacing the hardware from GCN into our automation system were resolved and now the shows are airing and the hum in the audio chain is at a reasonable level.   It is not possible to remove the remaining noise without rewiring the property which is not feasiable at this point since I will be relocating in a year or so.  Noise from outside sources such as power lines and smart meters from homes are beyond our control.

Plans are to continue running the News/Talk format until I relocate by the end of 2021.  I recently took a trip to Missouri and found another potential community to develop the Part 15 AM radio station ultimately as a commercial enterprise.  There are now four communities on the short list including small towns in Missouri, Kansas and Indiana.  While the plan to get this to work here didn’t work out (mostly due to technical issues beyond my control) at least development of the station in one of the other communities will be doable since the conditions that exist here don’t exist in most of the properties I have in mind.  Aside from one property in a small town in Missouri with some power line noise, the other issues are non existent.  Ultimately the location where I can first purchase a property that will work for this project, will be our next home and permanent location for the radio station.

Another road trip is planned for October to actually look at homes in one or more of the communities on the short list.  With luck, I will have something under contract by November and then can proceed with getting it fixed up for habitation and ultimately development of the radio stations.  In the meantime I will continue to work in the Cincinnati area until the end of 2021,
